Yasser Abubeker directed an intimate NTS live session that places Erykah Badu (credited as “Abi”) and US DJ/producer Alan Maman (The Alchemist) in a smoke-filled courtyard, using drawn-out zooms and haze to give the performance an otherworldly, close-in atmosphere (Promonews).
The session was filmed in the courtyard of artist Alvaro Barrington’s studio in East London, presented to a small invited audience, and is listed by NTS as shot on 06 August 2026 (Promonews; NTS).
